We’ve been taking pictures of kAAKAO bars all day and this photo shoot is so much fun!
I’ve worked with Paul, an amazing young photographer once before and we’re very aligned in terms of taste. Before him, I never quite realised how technical product photos can be when done right. He has e v e r y t h i n g you could possibly think of and he loves to hang things (check out the photo), using needles, duck tape any anything else that might help.
It’s all in the details
A simple Christmassy layout with some candles and ornaments required about an hour of setting up the right lights and fixing the angles and…stuff. I’m feeling particularly thankful today for working with someone who knows what he’s doing and who has great ideas.
This work requires millimetre precision and a LOT of patience. A few years ago I tried taking my own photos but quickly realised that I just didn’t enjoy the technical aspect of photography. I just like telling people what to do 🙂 And eating all the chocolate on top of that is also one of the perks.
PHOTO SHOOT BONUS: CLEANING THE INBOX
And the best part of today? Me sitting with a hot water bottle on my (achy) stomach, going through my inbox and nearly getting it down to 0.
10 more emails to sort today and it’s a wrap. It feels quite symbolic right now at the end of the year. Frankly, cleaning out the inbox is exactly like a massive spring clean: throwing out old/useless stuff, labelling things, putting them back to where they belong. Basically – getting rid of anything that doesn’t make you feel good or dealing with it to make it go away.
So, as a little hack for 2018: try the inbox clean and see how you feel when it hits zero.
